Chad Troyer is an artist working in textile practices, primarily weaving and dyeing. They graduated from Kent State University in 2022, receiving a BFA in Sculpture and Expanded Media, in addition to a BA in French. Their art uses the interlacement of yarn to highlight the relationship of textiles to itself; interlacing patterns and material to craft metaphor between the artist and their community, family, and environment.
Chad is an MFA Candidate at the University of Kentucky. They have exhibited work throughout Northeast Ohio including the Massillon Museum (Massillon, OH), Summit Artspace (Akron, OH), Daylight Artist Collective (Westerville, OH), Peninsula Art Academy (Peninsula, OH), and outside Ohio at the Erie Art Museum (Erie, PA), Steuben Gallery (New York City, NY), and Bolivar Galleries (Lexington, KY).
