Chad Troyer

Chad Troyer is an artist working in textile practices, primarily weaving and dyeing. They graduated from Kent State University in 2022, receiving a BFA in Sculpture and Expanded Media, in addition to a BA in French. Their art uses the interlacement of yarn to highlight the relationship of textiles to itself; interlacing patterns and material to craft metaphor between the artist and their community, family, and environment. 
Chad is an instructor at Praxis Fiber Workshop and the Digital Weaving Coordinator. They have exhibited work at Hildebrandt Artist Collective (Cleveland, OH), Summit Artspace (Akron, OH), Daylight Artist Collective (Westerville, OH), the Erie Art Museum (Erie, PA), the Massillon Museum (Massillon, OH), Peninsula Art Academy (Peninsula, OH), Steuben Gallery (New York City, NY), and Kent State School of Art Galleries (Kent, OH).
